Description

The Border Target Operating Model is the SPS requirements that have been implemented for UK imports from the 31st January 2024, this will affect imports into the UK of Products of animal origin, animal by products, high risk food and feed not of animal origin and plant and plant products.

During this webinar we will be looking at the changes that are being implemented and looking at the differences between importing SPS goods and exporting SPS goods. We will also cover the BTOM implementation periods covering certain products under specific risk based categories and how this will affect you as a business and how the UK approach differs from the EU approach to imports from the UK.

Having worked for various freight forwarders within this period he was responsible for all aspects of logistics and supply chains , customs entries and compliance. Andy’s expertise covers import and export entries, inventory link ports, NCTS and ETSF warehousing and various customs entry software along with customs audits and compliance. Andy has vast experience in customs declarations and processes, NCTS , customs consultancy and audit work.

Lucille Roche

Customs & International Trade Adviser, Strong and Heard

Lucille has over 40 years’ experience in international trade as an in-house international trade advisor and has also been called on to assist regulatory bodies (including HMRC & DEFRA) in evaluating and helping to develop new systems (such as the online trade tariff, the advanced tariff ruling system, IPAFFS etc) and has sat on working groups to facilitate the introduction of new regulations such as IUU (illegal unreported and unregulated fishing).
Her expertise covers tariff classification, evaluating origin and establishing if preference is applicable , Importation of products of animal origin, general imports and exports and regulatory compliance, post clearance audit checks. Lucille has over 20 years within the foods industry as well as another 20 in the tobacco industry.
